Our preschool serves families residing on Fort Carson. Our preschool provides a foundation of learning in a fun, warm, nurturing, safe, secure, and inclusive environment where every child is valued as an individual.
Jennifer Kinkennon
FFC8 Preschool at Weikel Site Director
It is an honor to serve as the Site Director for our FFC8 Preschool at Weikel program and to continue the outstanding work that has made our school a special place for young learners and families.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Arts in Teaching from Colorado College and later obtained my Principal Licensure through Colorado State University. My educational career includes 12 years teaching second, third, and fourth grades, followed by five years as a Dean of Students, where I also oversaw a preschool program within Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8.
As a Colorado native and parent of three District 8 students, I have a deep appreciation for our community. Two of my children are graduates of Fountain-Fort Carson High School and are currently attending college, while my youngest is a member of the Class of 2029. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and exploring Colorado’s amazing outdoors.
I believe preschool should be a nurturing, engaging, and fun environment where children build the skills, confidence, and love of learning that will serve as the foundation for their future success. I am excited to join the Weikel Preschool community and partner with families to support our youngest learners.
Please note:
Playgrounds are closed before, during, and after the session.

Does my child need to be potty trained?
No. The classroom team will change diapers as needed. They will also work as a team with the parents to support potty training.
Is there before and after school care?
FFC8 does not offer before or after-school care for preschool.
There are neighborhood bus stops within the Fountain portion of FFC8 boundaries that are farther than one mile from the school.
Bus service would not be provided to a daycare center outside of FFC8’s Fountain boundaries. For instance, bus service is not available from Fountain to the CDC on Fort Carson.
