About Us
Welcome to Conrad Early Learning Center!
Conrad Early Learning Center serves families residing in the town of Fountain. Conrad places a high value on partnering with families and has many different activities throughout the year for parents and children to participate in together. Our preschool provides high-quality instruction to support each child’s development in social-emotional skills, language, and early learning skills. Instruction targets the needs of 3-5-year-old children who meet the eligibility requirements for the Colorado Preschool Program and/or have identified needs addressed through an Individualized Education Program. Conrad also has a Child Find process that assists in the assessment and determination of the special needs of children (birth through five years of age) residing within Fountain-Fort Carson School District boundaries. To access the program, students must meet eligibility requirements as determined through the preschool intake process. Limited spaces are available as classrooms maintain a ratio of 8:1, with class sizes up to 16. Students must reside within Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8.

Interesting Facts:
Conrad Early Learning Center is named in honor of Yevonne Conrad who was a dedicated early childhood educator in District 8’s early childhood education programs spanning 35 years and counting.
Conrad houses two CPCD (Community Partnership for Childhood Development) classrooms- an Early Head Start (EHS) classroom (up to 3 years of age) and a Head Start classroom (3-5 years of age).
Yevonne serves as Conrad’s school librarian. The library is named in memory of her son, Brian. Conrad’s library was established through generous donations from retired educators and community members. Conrad’s students have the opportunity to check out library books on Wednesdays, while volunteers from the community read aloud.
All of Conrad’s classroom teachers have a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education, or are currently in a program to receive this Master’s degree while they teach.
